Overview

This project forms part of a broader initiative by Tecnalia and the Department of Culture and Language Policy of the Basque Government, aimed at promoting ethical and people-centred creation of AI-generated content in the audiovisual sector. In this context, ORAI has developed a technical report that analyses the technologies and infrastructure necessary for creating an audiovisual piece adapted to the Basque cultural context.

Challenge

The main challenge was to identify the technical capacities and limitations of the AI tools and to analyse the shortcomings that could arise in the representativeness of the Basque language and the Basque cultural imaginary. The current systems offer several options but still have limitations in terms of narrative coherence, artistic control and cultural adaptation.

It was developed in collaboration with Tecnalia.

Result

The result is a strategic analysis report provides an overview of the current situation, the shortcomings and the adaptation possibilities of AI-generated film productions. The report identifies the commercial tools, the open models, the impact of regulation, the need for data and the possibilities for developing solutions adapted to the Basque context.
